🎛️Use Playtronica with Ableton Live
Set up a Playtronica device as a MIDI input in Ableton Live.
Step-by-step setup
- Plug the device into your computer with a USB cable.
- Open Ableton Live, then go to Options → Preferences → MIDI. Under MIDI Ports, find your Playtronica device. Set Track to On and Remote to On.
- Create a MIDI track. In the Session or Arrangement view, create a new MIDI track. Add an instrument such as Wavetable or any VST.
- Set the MIDI input on the track. In the track's MIDI From dropdown, select your Playtronica device. Set the channel to All Channels.
- Arm the track by clicking the record button on the track header.
- Touch the device. The notes play through the instrument you chose.
